Hello

we have let go of all the music business hype and reconnected with what we were
always about – playing live and just enjoying the vibe.

As the record companies close up shop more of us are taking to live gigs and one-off
downloads; but i ask myself, is the likes of iTunes another corporate money grab?

it would appear so; which leads nicely onto three words...

‘music without industry’

Shit, where does the time go?...over 2 years have passed since we got the tapes...

We're all still alive - however, a 4th Electrasy album would describe many happenings.
Trying to release the 3rd album 'wired for dreaming' has been so bloody frustrating
quite frankly - it really fucking pisses me off.
Just wanted to let everyone know that your support is warmly received by all of us
and I'm still trying to find a way through this mess.

Warm regards - Steve™ (on behalf of all of us)

December 2004

Electrasy have finally received master tapes for their new unreleased 3rd album titled
'wired for dreaming' recorded at Longview Farm near Boston USA.
The band are currently looking at ways to make a fully independent release via electrasy.com

17 October 2002

Statement:

"Electrasy have parted company with their American record label Arista
records after a long and ultimately frustrating couple of years which saw
many changes at the company and no release of any singles recorded by
Electrasy for Arista. The band are now trying to release all three
albums through their website www.electrasy.com and would like all fans to
visit the site where they can obtain details of any forthcoming
events/tours/releases involving Electrasy."

make or break?...we are still negotiating the termination of the 'Arista' contract and it certainly seems to be taking a very long time indeed.
Come on Arista, pull your socks up and send us on our way, after all, you are in breach of contract.
It always comes down to money doesn't it...big fish eat little fish...happens all over the world and not just in the music business.

Well, I say "bollox"...life is short, gotta enjoy ourselves while we can.

Help yourself, join Electrasy.

REF GUESTBOOK: written by me (thats Steve™)

As much as it would be nice to change things within the music industry, I don't actually think it's possible for us to do on a massive scale (no harm in trying though)...
they say you learn from your mistakes and we've certainly seen mistakes, and sometimes our own mistakes.
So does it comes down to luck?...being in the right place at the right time?

1. First album...Electrasy have a number 19 hit with Morning Afterglow, gig 180 shows in a year and do lots of other stuff not to waffle on about...the album gets released via
MCA/Universal and suddenly the promotion of the album disappears...we're left hanging around in no mans land
MCA/Universal merge with Polygram and Electrasy part company.

2. Totally skint, we record a demo for the second album ,and to cut a long story, we eventually sign to Arista records USA via Clive Davis (managing director), all's going
swimmingly and we record the second album 'In Here We Fall'...we tour here and there in the USA and things start hotting up nicely, 'Renegades' starts doing big things in
Japan but everything comes to a sudden halt...Clive Davis is told to leave Arista and we're left hanging around waiting to get moving...

3. La Reid joins Arista as managing director...asks Electrasy to record another album
(maybe so that he's got his name on it?), we manage to gain pretty much complete control
of the recording of the album (which was nice) and Arista give us the money to go away and record the third album. We finish recording the album (Longview, Boston USA) and
fly home to await touring,etc....and here we are now, dropped again due to Arista making cut backs in the whole rock department.

4. We could continue down the road we're so used to (signing record deals), but would you after reading the above ?
At the moment we're unable to release any of our music due to tax / vat / music contract problems.
I'm positive that things can work out and we can continue making music on a long term basis.
Yes, it's gonna be difficult...chins are up.

5. So, in the meantime if you like the samples of our 3rd album 'wired for dreaming' and are seriously interested in buying the third album...please feel free to 'pre-order' it at
http://www.electrasy.com

Sitting in my favorite tree the bulldozers looking up at me that’s all right
shit happens
I could be on the Internet the super highways so trendy now but I forget
my password
And it doesn’t really matter that recycling is such a boring thing to have to do
on Tuesday
It doesn’t matter what you think of me...'cos you don't get it
A lot of us are sitting round and smoking something strange on a magic bus
you’re so groovy
And we’re going to a party where the repetitive beats have started up already
yeah you got a problem with that?
And we’re gonna do it anyway because that’s the kinda people that we are these days
Act so stupid
It doesn’t matter what you think of me...'cos you don't get it
I’m one of a kind
So out of mind
You couldn’t take me down if you try
It doesn’t matter what you think of me...'cos you don't get it
Tell me what the space man said in 1967 and all the other years
I was to bored to mention
Tell me what I’m gonna do tell what I’m gonna have to do to survive tomorrow
When I don’t care about it
Guess I’m sitting in this river and my feet are looking biggerrer than ever before
And that’s magic
It doesn’t matter what you think of me...'cos you don't get it

.Nisbet.

Thanks for your support
